Ford are a laughing stock, they used cheap metal on the cylinder heads of all Focuses and the 1.8 8V TDCi's were polished turds from the 1980's and are an absolute reliability joke. Ford use Delphi parts on the rotboxes to cost-cut and cleverly mounted washer jets above the spark plugs which leaked and caused misfire and permanent head damage. "Clearly a better car" If only it was... Thankfully we don't all own Focuses, some of us have brain cells

@Eigdooog Oh, by the way don't forget the Ford Focus and Fiesta alike both share the same potentially dangerous EAC fault. You can have all the Ford handling you like but lets not forget that the highly superior Fords apparently built by drunken apes in a circus in Dagenham, Essex don't have any brakes or steering when the EAC fault sets in. Thankfully this terrible thing doesn't ever happen to Leons or Ibizas and I'm glad I don't have a Focus. *Phew* Us Leon owners would rather LIVE not DIE

@Eigdooog Thats a bizzare thing to say old chap. I always thought better cars usually had decent paintwork that doesn't flake off the door handles and I always thought they had dashboards correctly lined up with the surrounds inside. Only my girlfriend had a Focus, we share the Type R now but she was fed up of the bad quality of it. She actually wants a Leon soon.

@Elgoog Ford are wank, as a trained motor technician I have never seen such bad build quality and engine. Remember the ST 170? Well the cylinder heads had poor quality measures thus causing it to have as low as 130BHP, and then you get onto the runaway cars thing, Ford knew the problem existed but they blamed the owners and has never fixed it and never will. Ford don't rust proof the cars so they rust like fuck, my old Fiesta was so rusty and the engine broke twice, never again!!!

@Elgoog Even my current car, a Rover 25 1.4 is more reliable, mine has had no problems and has no rust at all and is built very well. My 25 also has 105 BHP, the current fiesta 1.4 has less power. Ford still put their washer jets on the bonnet and don't put a seal on so water leaks and goes onto the HT leads and causes misfires, they are a joke of a company. VAG are so much better the Ford, GM are better then Ford and Rover are better then Ford.

@Eigdooog The only time I will ever favour a Focus over a Leon is the day when I decide to rob a bank. The Focus will be used to ram the wall down to get to the ATM, the Leon will be used as the fast reliable getaway car.

Leon's are good reliable cars, maybe that is why people like them, along with all the other VAG stuff, VW, Audi and Skoda

 

VAG arnt as good as what people think. I have never heard of washer jets leaking onto the spark plugs n causing misfires.

 

That leon in the video is one ugly lookin car. The old leons looked miles better.

And for the record,the focus was not made in dagenham,the last car to be assembled there was the mk5 fiesta.the focus was built at cologne,I know because I've been to the plant.

We made the rear drums and front discs for them and i know they were never sent to dagenham.

Funnily enough,we used to make the fiesta front hub and if they went out of spec or had particular faults in them they used to go in a bin marked "dagenham only".in other words,they'd take any old shit!!!

Wipers leaking into the plugs to cause misfires,what a fucking cock!!!go up the road,put the squirties on and it starts missing like a pig!!!heard it fucking all now.
