hey everyone thought id show everyone the pics of my old mans Mk2 cortina GT we bought the car early in the yr and immediatly set to work on it stripping more of less everything off, the previous owner had tryed doing a bit of their own modifying but it hadnt gone quite to plan

spec so far
3.1 essex V6 chassis mounted
4 speed gearbox (being changed soon to 5 speed)
tunnel modified
2.8 capri front bilstein legs modified to coilovers fully adjustable/top mounts (225 pound spring)
lowering blocks on rear/ adjustable gaz shocks
2.8 capri calipers, 9" drums on rear
Mk1 escort steering rack
custom made tubular cross member
electric line lock
interior removed, re-carpeted, set of cossy leather seats fitted
fuel tank spun 90'c to allow twin exhuast
15x8/15x7 compmotive ML

i completly agree wiv the V8 thing but dads bit of a sunday driver wiv it so prob not much point lol

 

savage estate.......... love it mate ive only seen one gt estate in person and that was mint too lol (fern green i think the colour was called)

That is superb I remember when I was a kid my dad had a red Gt estate just like that (except for the engine of course!) looks like a lot of fun
