1999 Ford Focus TDDI EGR BLANKING & tuning HELP PLEASE
first of all could someone please tell me how to blank off my egr valve as i have searched and searched the internet and found nothing for my engine its a 1.8 tddi 1999 duratec deisel ford focus absolutely love the car just want some extra power as its my little toy and dont matter too much if fuel economy goes down a bit
also i have heard that i can remove the boxes on the exhaust system and replace with straight pipe my freind is very very good with a welder and has worked on agriculural machinery for 15 years ....will removing the muffler box's and replacing back box with a sports exhaust make the car sound really nice? (((i wanna hear a bit of that turbo u see
)))
also i have heard that to de-cat these cars i can just smash the honeycombe out from the catelic converter which will make the car sound even better???

If your egr is the same as my tdci the egr is part of the inlet and a shit job to get off. I've just pulled the vacumn pipe off the top of mine and stuck a bolt in it. That stops the valve from opening and so it's blocked.

Hi i have a ford focus tddi, and i need to blank if of can someone tell me how to do this, i know you can buy a plate but where does it go, i need to get rid of the egr valve, i am guessing is it the thin pipe underneath the egr valve which is attached to the inlet manifold. Ian
