Default Wire?

Im not sure where I would want to go to buy wire?.....I can imagine where you'd obtain wire from (maplins, hardware stores, b&q etc) but Im after a wide selection of thicknesses and styles.

Im producing wire sculptures for my a level art....and will not only need thick wire for the main structures, but also very small-holed chicken wire and almost soldering wire thickness wire for more detailed areas.....
Also is there a variety of wire that's almost very thick foil with hole punch sizes holes all over it? (I need that effect.....so if it's not possible I'll just have to produce the holes in it myself)

Any ideas...?
I fancy one trip, to a self service store of some description....so really I want some sort of wire warehouse =)

Lmfao!!!....
Ye if it manages to hold up long enough for me to get a camera out onto it I will.
A warning to you though, it may be so unlike the subject it can only be classed as 'beyond abstract'....
I have always fancied producing a wire sculpture, never had enough time to just have a practice beforehand though....got a little extra time at this stage....to experiment with a few different media.

You can use allly welding rods as these are cheap and also very flexible and available in a few different diameters. HTH

Bill mate.....you have to see some of the utter crap I've produced to really get the whole potential of laughter from that comment......people say 'wow I love the way you've taken the subject and changed it to produce your own unique idea'....when I was blatently trying to copy it.
