It will be noisy, ratios aren't great for the road, and for the same price you could do a much better MTX conversion. The gearsets are rated to only 175 BHP, however this is a huge underestimation by Quaife for warrantee purposes. It should handle anything you can throw at it TBH. The quality of the gears and shafts are far far superior to the standard Ford items.

so how much would you say my s1 is worth complete without engine and box...

baring in mind its fully restored and sill fitted with all the coilovers ect and fully painted underside....

need that gone aswel lol so might list it but dont know a price to say

 

I'd say, complete, £4k maybe? It's hard to say, cars don't seem to be selling lately. Lad I know is still trying to sell his immaculate 57k S1 for £6.5k but just can't shift it.

 

well mine has no engine and box and its as clean as most of the £6.5 cars when complete but just dont have an engine and box....

a few people have said 4k....

 

you could try gears for a gearkit , they are making thier own semi-helical big tooth kit
i'm testing a proto type for them in my mk3 fiesta track car with frs engine
