I've bought this car whilst finishing my zetec turbo rs as i have a young family. I'm after a set of after market springs (preferably lower) as it has snapped a front one. After asking around it seems to be a common problem with the ford items. Can i fit a set of lowering springs from a petrol model as some manufacturers list different models yet others list just for the mk3 exc. estate.

Also is there any problems when dropping these 30mm, i'm doing the rear subframe at the same time as that also has play in it. Then hopefully once it is done get a four wheel alignment done.

I had Eibach springs on mine with no bother..the estates have a different set up than the hatch/saloon
