urgently need an inlet cam for my ST170, thought id try here before ringing ford

let me guess, you snapped the lugs off the end of it changing the cam belt?

No, my boyfriend did
is it ok to run like that or will it definately need replacing?

its fine to run with the lugs snapped off, ford technicians and local greasemonkeys snap them off all the time when doing belt changes, the key is to NOT use the lugs to hold the cams whilst you loosen the cam pulley bolt!!
Might make it a bit trickier to time it up thats all will be fine
