Series 1 Starter motor question?
Are they known for sticking and not turning over when hot??

Yes they are. After a couple of dead ones I wrapped mine in thermotec and it's been fine ever since.

Only if the brushes on the back of the motor are worn, or the battery is on its way out and not holding decent charge...
