got a prob took out the gas tank , looked in it and saw a big cylindrical thing in it can any one tell me wat it is and wat it does , cause i filled the tank to the top with water and it was barly running out i wondering if the has sumtin to do with it

 

Its a swirl pot mate , when cornering hard it stops all the petrol from going to the side of the tank and starving the pickup of petrol .Its completely normal .

 

so can ti be come dirt or cloged or sumtin

 

it does sound like theres something in there blocking the pipe .

 

is their some way to get at it or do i have to cut the tank

 

Only way to access it is cut the tank open, you could try using compressed air to blow the crap back if there is a blockage, then washing out with water etc.
