bought a set of used accralite pistons for my rst but turns out there ford bda/zetec e 1.8 according to the numbers stamped in them(1150xc81).so im wondering wether to do a zetec instead of my cvh now? just got my steel rods too

 

gona try sell them now get cvh ones.

 

A good CVH will be better than a ZVH anyway really.

 

why do you say that muz? im trying to decide whether to go zvh or a good cvh so collecting info and opinions at the moment......sorry to hijack your thread lol

 

I wouldn't build a ZVH again. I would go full Zetec or stay CVH. You're theoretically using the two worst parts of each, the Zetec bottom end not designed for turbo charged use and the CVH head, which in standard form, is pretty crap. Spend the money on a ZVH and you can get very good results, as Sitech have shown, but I wouldn't bother.

well my original plan was a cvh and i have learned in the past never to change plans as it always goes wrong for me if i do.still gotta get some decent pistons tho already got steel rods,kent cam,stage 2 t3 and stage 3 head
