Question Newman or Kent Mecanical followers? :-)

Hi there...

I have a set of 7 Kent cams mechanical followers (Lost one of them years ago, and never got around to find it :-(...)

Its a big spec Zvh, and i am probably going for a custom Newman cam for my setup.

As i already have a set of 7 Kent followers, it would be far easyer to purchase 1 from Burton.

But are theese any good compared to Newmans?

Cam and lifters have to be ran in together so you cant use your old lifters with a new cam.

Forgot to mention that the lifters are brand new. Only fitted and adjusted. The engine never ran...

I would still use Newman lifters with a Newman cam as they should be made form the same material and bed in at the same rate.

Just not worth the risk of metal in your oil if either fail IMO.

If you go for a custom newman cam, I think you must go for newman solid lifters. Newman cams are different material as kent and because that is better not to mix them.
