While takin my series 2 apart i found this on the bulk head, im pretty sure i have nether seen one on any of my other series2's, the vacuum pipe goes to the ecu as its ment to but through this, am i bein stupid lol, is this standard??

 

Mine never had that, not sure if it was taken out tho?

mine does not have one and just been tidying all the boost/vacum hoses up when fitting the boost controller.

open it and see whats inside lol

 

na i would end up breakin it lol, be good to find out what it does

 

do you have a boost gauge could just be like a t peace for a boost gauge

 

cant see it doing much tbh no wiring or anything going to it?


only thing i can think of is that it restricts the air flow so the one side sees a lower pressure??

it is a glorified bleed valve by turbo technics
they fitted them on the 160bhp conversions they done 20+ years ago

 

and now we know lol

hope u didnt take it to bits lol :/

 

 

probs best off removing it anyway i wouldnt fancy a 20 year old bleed valve would be nice for it to leak and not open the wastegate and run stupid boost resulting in a nice blown up engine
