does anyone know roughly what i'd be looking at paying for a complete mk1 Focus RS engine, basically as it drops out the car with all loom, ecu & ancillaries etc?

Or anyone seen what kind of prices a complete but smashed car fetches?

There was complete running gear going for £1000 on ebay last week I think? Or near enough. I don't think you can use the ECU as it's linked to the clocks etc... and can't be taken car to car. Could be wrong though.

 

I paid £2400 for mine thats with all car looms and engine ect ecu, gear linkage, gearbox, all mounts, intercooler setup, bulkhead, centre console, manifold, turbo, rad, clocks, maf, filter, everything basically! sure theres a couple on ebay for around 1k but thats just the bare engine!

 

i paid 2100 for everythin on mine ,

 

I've seen a bare engine go for £600.

The one on ebay was a good deal as it was engine, clutch, box, turbo, manifolds etc...

I've seen a couple go for £1000 with the turbo which isn't bad.

 

mate of mine got everything for 2500 subframe suspension the lot

 

I would love to buy the focus rs running gear and have a go at putting it in the wife mk5 5 door fiesta.

 

i was thinkin about it for the Escort in my sig but not sure yet - would be a bit different

 

i think ajc off here is the fella off ebay selling it, its started at 1k, id imagine its worth somewhere around the £1500 mark for the motor and box

ive not looked since last week as I was interested in it but the user name on ebay was ajc. If its not there then it must of gone, might be work dropping him a pm off here just to confirm though.

 

It is him! might be sold tho as its gone off ebay and a few other bits of the focus i was looking at

 

Good value really when you consider the cost of making even the most basic of Zetec Turbo engines yourself.
