My Zetec Turbo Mk1 Cortina (451hp 419lbft)

Havent posted anything about the car for a while so seeing as theres a few zetec's going on the dyno at the moment i thought i'd join in and show you mine!
The cars currently running an ap organic clutch which has now reached its limit (understandably) which is why we had to leave the boost at 1.7-1.8 bar
Its also on standard cams which is why the power tails off a tad early..
When mapping last year we had the Gt30-71 up to 2.4bar with a 7.5k rev limit but sadly the good old silver top oil pump threw in the towel which has actually happened a second time since then, crio treated the second time...
Now the zetec is drysumped and seems to be holding up a new clutch will be purchased hopefully soon and back up to M.A.D for another go!!

Danny- Im sure we will have reached the 30-71's limit before we see figures like that! We will push it though so we will see what it can do...
M4tt274- The pump is a little loud yes, can get anoying when in traffic!
Wirralphil- We had to leave the boost as it is as soon as we went over 2 bar the clutch slipped! Im sure we can peak the boost at 2.4 bar again...
The car can be quite lively! Forgot to say it weighs 920kg

You could say that! The car as a whole handles the power really well but without the right tyres on the back you have no hope! If I put the tyres that are on the front on the rear it has no traction untill 5th gear and thats just about having traction, you can hear the tyres skipping if on a rough motorway surface under power! lol But it is good fun!
In the summer with the 888's it puts power down in second..

Liams the car and engine etc is the nuts mate and if it can do 451 at 1.8 bar it certainly wont be far from 500 hp at 2.4 bar mate!!!
Mind you if it does 500 hp thats better than most ybs on a gt 3071!!!!

No offence taken mate..but read the thread,he said they were at 2.4 bar but the clutch didnt want to know and looking at the afr tells you its a bit rich at the mo(not bad but not optimum)and i expect thats because they are going for more boost once the clutch is fixed..

Danny dont make the mistake most make the afr graph is from the dyno's bosch sensor and not the lab spec NTK I only use.

Mark you are one person id never question on mapping mate as every car iv seen of yours the afr has been spot on!!and has shed loads of torque!!!lol

It is around 12afr give or take .1 or.2 but as the dyno uses the Ł80 sensor which only covers around 90% of a turbo's tuning needs I discard what the dyno says,
You can see normaly .5afr diff either way with the bosch so its not good enough for me,
My Ł500 lab spec sensor tells me what I want even though they are the same make lambda meter.
