as above after some rotten luck AGAIN , i may need another turbo for my s2. anyone know of any?,im on a budget so let us know what u got cheers lads.

get a re buid kit and re build it yourself

 

he needs the hole turbo as he has snapped the oil return shaft of

trouble is mate u can rebuild them yourself but it wouldnt be balanced

 

It must be balanced just now? Also is it not balanced outside the turbo, then marked up, dissmantled and then re assembled inside the cartridge. So whats stopping you marking it up, dissmantling the turbo, replacing the worn seals and bearings, then re assembling it. A turbo cant be balanced assembled! the material removed to balance it is usually removed from the back of the compressor wheel and turbine wheel. This cant be done when its inside the cartridge, therefore it is totaly posible to take it appart and re assemble it as long as it goes back together the way it came appart, and the shaft and wheels have no damage. an engine is balanced, but you can still take it appart as long as it goes back together the same way.

 

yeah i see your point mate,im picking a new one up tonite.but does sound like a good idea what you have said,will have to get rst cabbie off here on the case lol

 

still needing a t3,but i want one without any play at all as ive tried 3 second hand ones with some play in them and they all smoked pm me what u got and prices please.i may have to bite the bullet and get a brand new one after xmas
