Default Koni adjustables for DOHC sapphire

Hi im looking to buy a 2nd hand set of Konis for my non-cosworth sierra sapphire and was wondering if the 2WD cosworth fronts will fit? I know that the 4WD wont as they are too thick for the hub.

Ive heard that the rears are the same so no problem there.

Dont suppose anyone knows of any for sale?

John

Yes they will fit, although the Cosworths have a lower spring pan so just watch the tyre size.

Rears are interchangeable between 2WD/4x4 as you say

I have the rears but one of them is faulty so you can have them if you can make any use of them as I know you can get them rebuilt but most don't.

I'm not sure if koni do the sensible thing and supply 2wd rears with a 1/4" spacer to go either side of the bottom eye fitting as the 4wd are 1/" wider, but even if they are too wide by 1/2" can simply chop 1/4" off each end of the tube/eye fitting.
The front cossie will fit, but need to watch tyre diameter mine used to be so close you couldn't get your little finger between the pan and the tyre, even on 205/50X15 std cossie tyres/wheels.

Will be the largest size you could squeeze, 215/40 x17 are defo safe, 45 profile are that bit larger diameter, but a size I've used before ok.
