Hello all,
I have just joined the club and thought I would say hello
I have just bought a MK III Escort Cabriolet that has a RS kit fitted, has been lowered and is sporting new wheels, the origins of which I do not know and a half leather interior.
I have some plans for the car, that will mean taking it back to grass routes and starting again. I have thought long and hard about going down the RS Turbo route, as it is a tried and tested formula, however a friend of a friend has a MK V RS 2000 engine, running gear suspension etc going for sale and I have been told that with not too much fiddling around, they will fit the Cab. Is this correct and if so, without spending a mortgage on the engine, what power gains could I expect to gain i.e. say 200+ bhp?
Thanks in advance for any assistance,
John
