after owning a few mk1 escorts
i recently sold one of my collection a green rs2000
fancied something a bit newer and not as expensive as the mk1
also always wanted one when i was in my 20s
but insurance said no
now 15 years on and a extra 40 quid on my classic car insurance
i bought this one
bought it about 5 weeks ago
genuine example never had any panels but has had welding
paint had faided and crazed
loads of history and reciepts
so i bought it
had it 2 days and stripped it to a rolling shell
all windows and kit etc was removed
then off to see jay a good lad who has painted a few cars for me now
and is very reliable
car had its 1st panels replaced front scuttle pannel and 2 rear arches
then it was preped and painted in radiant red
everything back on now
just need wheels doing spots fitting and nasty whit dials replaced
spent all day buffing it and give it its 1st wash and polish
engine bay needs a good clean

plan is for the missus to use it to shows
she wont drive my mk1 mex rep shrek as he is a bit harsh to drive
got a new gear linkage to fit and refurb wheels got some 15 inch 7 spokes might try them on
