i know there as been a few topics lately on what to buy with a budget, well ive got 4k to spend on a new toy, so what would you buy,

now ive own s2's mk2 fiesta and mk5 rs2000's so know im stuck what to have i want something fun but nice oh and id like to stay with a ford

as said get a saff few cheapies about at the mo mate

 

problem is i dont know much about them and for my budget it wont be long till i have to start spending,id just like to enjoy it for abit

My Mates got one of these as his daily driver and for the money, its very quick
Had it on Abbey Motorsports DynoPack last week and it made 350 bhp
Bang for buck, its spot on id say
Manuals are rare to bit more sort after

not a ford but there are a few pug 205 1.9 gti turbo technics dimmas on piston heads proper animals these and look sweet too

 

ST170 Focus for about Ł3k these days, leaves spending money for un-scabby wheels and lowering mods

Ł4k saph is just asking for another Ł4k in repairs

 

Is it as a daily runner or not Andy?
If it was me, as a weekend toy a Saff, as a daily runner probably ST170.
Otherwise there's a nice 2k just gone to Lancashire I know of lol.

 

I would say buy a cheap saff or a st200 mondeo, racing puma(if you can find a cheap one) fezza turbo.

everybody seems to think with saphs that if its not expensive its not a good one

the majority of the time a 6k saphs the same as a 3k saff it just depends whos advertising it

so i would,nt be put of buying a saph due to a low price as i,ve looked at 8k saphs that were junk .

i,ve had 5 saphs now and not paid between 2k and 3k for them no more and they were all good cars with perfect running engines taxed and mot,d , so i would,nt judge a car just because of its price .

the problem is i dont know what im looking for and just feel i would buy on inpluse and then it would cost me a packet in the long run

 

again would also like to stay with a for as i enjoy the show and have mad a load of good mates though owning one
