just a thought... i was told by the last owner the yb had standard cams.how can i identify them conclusivly?were the std cams BD8 OR
BD10`S?

Bd10's aren't standard cams!

 

BD8 are standard, but won't have BD8 written/marked on them.
I wrote down the markings on my std 2wd cams if you want me to dig them out and put up ?

Anything other than standard will, or should have bd10 etc stamped on the end of it. As said standard ones don't. Only prob going by the markings is it could be a reground cam!!

 

just looked at the cams-they both have YN0011 on them also one has lyd2,the other lyd 3??

 

Mine have LYD4 on the exhaust cam, with LYD2 on the inlet both also with YN0011, so looks like std, just measure the lift, measure the lobe with a vernier to see how high it lifts from the base circle, should be 8.554mm for a std cam inlet or exhaust.
