gunship chip
i have bought one of these but it does not work on my 3dr, is it because its an l1 not an l6 and if i need an l6 where best to go and what other things do i need????

i'd strongly reccomend you not buy these 2nd hand and retrofit.
the setup on the car is very close to the limit and ifs its not propely set up by NMS you're just asking for trouble!

You can not interchange chips from diffrent ECU'S there isn't actually alot between the L1 and L6 series, the electronics are different hence why different chips won't work, I presume you brought it second hand as if you brought it new you would have instructions.
Gunship uses standard components, injectors etc but allows you to run 22PSI between 2500 to 5000RPM, tailing off to 17PSi at 6000RPM and then finally 14PSI at the 7000RPM limiter.
You will require a -31 actuator and some decent plugs and gapped correctly, I am not sure if the fuel pressure should be adjusted etc.
It is also reccomended a 360 degree thrust bearing to be fitted.
L6 should go straight into 3DR but personally I would just get the correct chip for the ECU if it isn't, it's easier and will save you money!

so in a nut shell i cannot place that chiop even if i am running all the things mentioned above, i thought all chips were interchangable between cars or is it just specific to the gunship one???

what power do you get with the gunship conversion?what makes it better than say a msd chip?
i had an msd 339 chip in my last saph with t34,greens,rs500 cooler etc and it was fast,my new saph has standard cooler,turbo and 4x4 manifold but has the 330 turbosystems chip and is feels much more powerful.i dont have a dyno graph for it but even with the standard 4x4 turbo and cooler its feels better!

they were designed to squeeze every last little drop of power from a standard engine, potentially removing some of the inherent safety margins ona lot of other off the shelf chips. this is the main reason NMS would never sell one to anyone unless it was fitted and set up by themselves, otherwise someone could buy one 2nd hand, whack it in, nuke their engine, blame NMS!
