Default brake upgrade probs

i have upgraded my front brakes on my erst to cossie discs and pads.
now the brake resivoir cap does not stay on properly, is this normal and would it make the brakes less effective

the cap is unrelated and no it could not affect the brakes affectiveness. sounds like you have a fault to fix

but if it is not air tight would it pull air into the system when the pedal is depressed????

the cap does not keep the system airtight it stops the fluid spilling out.

Cap has to let a tiny amount if air in otherwise a vacuum would develop.
