might sound abit daft but when i first got my cossie it was unreal on the test drive ect couldnt believe how fast it was, i was abit weary about putting my foot down at first but now it just doesnt feel the same way dont get that big thrill when i put my foot down speedo tells me im still doing the same but just doesnt feel the same lol
but thats the thing i dont know what to do its going in for a bit of paint rust removal lol in 3 weeks then ive got a few more bits to fit after that am undecided do i go for more power or get it mot's serviced ect all the niggly bits done then sell it
and buy a bigger power one or is it easier to upgrade mine
its apprenttly running around 360+bhp so its not slow by any means just got used to it i suppose out of interest anybody know whats would ne reqired to up the power

spec is :
• Freshly re-built engine
• T35 turbo ( rebuilt with engine )
• Rs 500 cooler
• Group A K n' N filter
• Group A coil
• 3 bar MAP sensor
• Siemens 55lbs injectors
• Bosch 044 pump ( new )
• Upgraded breater
• Full stainless exhaust with no middle box
• Denso plugs
• Group A head gasket
• Koni suspension with ahmed springs
• AP 6 paddle clutch
• Live mapped by Karl Norris to produce 2 bar boost which tails to 1.7 bar at limiter ( approx 360 bhp )
so what would i need to up the power then and how much would it cost roughly

I'm exactly the same with mine bud!
You could go for a UT T38 and a chip or live map to suit....You'd run over 400 easily on that
You'll be looking at around Ł600 for the turbo second hand (think theres one in the for sale section on here) and I think a live map is around Ł500 sheets
Or have your's set up to spike at 2.2bar and hold 2 bar same as mine
Honestly though bud, I would leave it....thought about upping the power on mine aswell but all thats going to happen is the gearbox and diff will suffer!
Converting to RWD is a good idea...it'll feel much more angry on boost as there wont be as much grip lol
I've got a pair of front koni's you can have for nowt if you decide to go down this route

Agreed, to much of anything means you eventually get used to it. Put it away, drive something slow and you will feel the same way again when you get it out of the garage and mash the pedal into the ground.
I mean even if you go on the same roller-coaster over and over it gets boring eventually no matter how exciting it is.

Just get the bits done that need doing and keep on enjoying it ! ...you could buy a more powerfull one that could turn out to be a bag of shit, at least you know yours is a belter and running within its safe limits !
It's easy to go chasing massive power figures, I have to keep giving myself a nip sometimes when I spy t38's and gt30's for sale...sometimes it's just not worth the extra cash
Have a shot of mine when I get the boost leak sorted and see what you think, it's not a million miles away from yours, just feels quicker sometimes cos there nay grip...bet yours would spank mine with it being 4wd

Seriously mate, I would rather look at my mint 360 break saff gleaming in the sun than a ratty one with 500 break lol

Get a cheap car to potter about in, which will cost you less to insure, put the cossie on a classic restricted milage policy and you may find you save yourself some money on insurance and especially fuel.
Then, when you do get the cos out of the garage you'll get that WOAH feeling again and you have saved some money.
At the end of the day fella, the cossie is getting on a bit, you want to keep the milage low and maintained because lets face it, its reliability probably aint gonna be great as time gets on for a daily drive.

Well... You did say it's 300 odd bhp and if your jamming your foot to the floor all the time to get the speed thrill I ain't surprised. With petrol prices the way they are at the moment also ain't good.
It also means the money you do save can go on goodies making it mint.

I think you do get use to the power, I took my Sierra to work 6 days a week and I was the same thinking it was slower?, when I took a mate out for a drive he was like "thats fast" but it didn't feel it to me.
Now ive got a van I use for work as my insurance ran out on the cos.
I took the sierra for a drive last week and because I havn't drove it everyday like I used to, it felt very quick and I did have a grin on my face

Scott, Batey who you bought the car off is a good friend of mine, and I was with him when his car was mapped at NMS. He asked Karl to map it so it was quick'ish but as safe as can be on the gearbox. Karl said he could make it around 400/400 because the engine felt strong and just wanted to rev.
I'd give NMS a ring for more boost, 36 psi will get you moving!

IMO you have a powerful car that doesn't need upgrading in any way. Avoid the crazy spending that comes with big power Cossie ownership and enjoy what you have. Maybe do more trackdays or take it on a European trip.
