Did Stuart Cosworth not wang on some 235s when he got pissed off with traction problems??

With right ofset yes..and rolled front arches...

I had 225/35's on the back of my saph 4x4 wheels were et32 old style mo's. 225's rubbed slightly on the front as my arches were only slightly rolled, so ran with 215's on the front.

yea defo possible as your wheels will also sit slightly further in than mine did. I had coilovers fitted aswell and was sitting prety low.

That means your side wall will be 5% bigger mate..thats why when you go wider you normally drop your wall size ie 225.40 or 235.35...
On a saph with coilovers and the rear shit shields removed the front arches rolled et 32-35 id go 225.40 front and 245.35 rear...if your 4x4 you will have to be carefull as you will need the correct rolling radius back and front so will need to measure but if using the same make of tyres wont be far of with the above examples..

Like the sound of more sidewall tbh,may just go 225 40 18 all round,would like some sticky tyres for the dry

i run 225 /18/35,s kev on the revs and they scrub front arch and back inner arch with someone in the back.im going to keep the 2wd on 215s i think
