brake servo vacume feed?

Default brake servo vacume feed?

hi all just wonderd what people do if there not running abs on there cossy engine,as there is no vacume feed for the brake servo,

was thinking of drilling and tapping the plenum

You don't need to you can still use the electric pump, they don't have a conventional servo anyway.

electric pump? mine is a standerd v6 brake servo

Yes they do not have conventional brake servos, I.E vaccum feed.

Instead they use an electric pump setup, you can do away with the ABS and leave the electric pump (Servo) as it is now.

I'm not sure with the V6 cossie, but obviously if it has a std diaphragm servo then as you say just get a vacuum feed to it for it to work, I didn't think they had a conventional servo but not sure.

I wondered if you was talking about a Granny mentioning V6 but I to am sure these would have the same setup (Tevas) as Sierras.

step 1. Buy an aftermarket breather

step 2. use the one way valve from your old breather setup to feed your servo.


Worked for me!

*edited to note that i used a conventional servo/master cylinder setup when my ABS went wrong*

cheers all ive just tapped a fitting in to the plenum for the vacume the brake servo is off a xr4i i use 1 of these as these have the biggest master for non abs systems
