Anbody local to Canterbury got a 1/8" BSP Tap i could borrow tomorrow so i can Tap my inlet manifold so i can fit my ACT Gauge.

Is it not 1/8NPT? In any case, I think 1/8NPT and 1/8BSP are so close in thread pitch that you can wind an NPT fitting in the BSP thread, especially if its one of the plastic fittings on Mike R's ACT gauges and 1/8NPT may be an easier tap to get hold of.

 

i have bought the correct tap and drill bit i am in south wales but could send it to you?? you could just post them back when you finished

1/8 npt is 27tpi and a tapered thread with 60 degree inclusive angles .405" od

where 1/8 bsp is a 28tpi whitworth and 55 degree inclusive angles .383" od

 

Try you local drews, will only be a couple of quid mate. And it will be a npt thread

 

Had a phone around of a few mates and got one now
