Default Buying prescription glasses online

Anyone had any good/ bad experiences?

I've been looking at Glasses Direct and Glasses Crafter...

My 2-year old has just dragged my 6 month old glasses across the slate floor of our kitchen and knackered the frames and lenses. I could use our contents insurance, but I'm keen not to cripple our NCB and would rather pay for them outright.

Historically, I've used D&A and Boots but they want in excess of £500 for some Dior frames with standard hi-index 1.61 super-thin lenses. It appears that at the above online retailers, I can make significant savings so would appreciate any advice!

I've used glassesdirect a few times now, and am more than happy.

Just make sure your prescription is current and measure your pupil centres (there's a proper name for it but I'm fucked if I can remember it)

Decent service, quick turn-around, low prices, what's there to think about.
