hi all just wondering who would definately up for it and what dates would be best for most people also what venue preferred because i was thinking1/4 miles all the way to top speed tests with all types of rst s from cvh to zetec turbo any advice and genuine interest from rst owners welcome as this is a long over due meet

It's not easy to book a venue as you're just a 'group of lads' and not a company. If you do twist Brunter's arm then you're looking at anything up to Ł1000 depending on the number of cars you want to take along, plus the cost of timing gear. There are also strict noise regs, (two strikes and you're out) plus a 'no dicking about rule' (one strike and you're out). Basically it's not the playground it once was, and I'd be surprised if they let you book the place.

I'll be there, next summer sounds good and Dan couldn't some one twist fast fords arm into doing a feature, must have been ages since a group rst feature was done..... Or a new rs vs old rs day.

Fast ford should do a feature,simple.I'm still thinking about it.see what the outcome is.

 

if 1/4 mile is best, why dont every1 just meet up at a rwyb day at pod? that way its free =)

Santa Pod would probably be a good idea dude.

 

It costs us a LOT of money to stage a thrash, as we've also got to factor in the price of the photographer, and the safety crew on top of the cost of getting us their and the venue hire, so we only run them as invite only events, and not as free-for-alls, sorry!

 

By far the most sensible idea! If enough Fords go there, then we could send along a snapper to cover it.

 

danW, keep us posted if your team decides to do one for the rs turbo's.Don't see much of that these days in the mag.Apart from the oldskol against the new which was good.

dont forget to charge the spectators lol and it would be nice for more than 20 but 20 will be plenty lol

I would say pod or Shakespear would be rly good.

would every1 prefer 2 book it fo the day privately so its strictly rs at the pod or just turn up to a rwyb have emailed asking for prices to have it privately including timing gear ambulance ect.. just need ideas as 2 peoples preferences

 

it would be good but might be expensive but hey if its say 100 quid a car its worth it for a open pit lane and only say 20 cars using it as you would get like 20 runs lol.

but it might be more so would properley need to get a couple of other clubs over.
