Does any 1 make copies or anything like that

I know gens are proper expensive and I'm toying with the idea of fitting 1

 

there are some fibreglass copies on ebay - but some are a shocking fit

there is a guy on here with the black 3dr track car which has a very good carbon fibre version he had made with a company who cannot remembver their name - they fit great and also do fibreglass versions too.

If you going to get one - get one from the above as you will know they fit.

I bought one from ebay for a fair bit of money and the fit was shit so ended up buying a genuine ford identical to the 500 version but without the cutout for 20 quid cheaper than my shite fibreglass copy.

I also want the tip of eBay that sort of glues to the orig tail but not sure if I will be frowned upon for making it look like a 500

 

Are you talking about the lower rear spoiler on the boot?

who cares if people frown - its your car so do what you want to it.

Personally I would get a fibreglass rs500 upper spoiler instead as the lip will have a raised edge against the spoiler - not bad if you look from far but fairly noticeable if up close i guess. But they are a cheap mod.

If you have the orginal 3dr spoiler - sell that with the caps and that will pay for a fibreglass rs500 upper spoiler.

Fix it on with lots of Tiger Seal or Sikaflex,

Ive got one of those 500 tips in my garage waiting to go on the original spoiler, job for the winter.

 

Ah just had to clarify creative carbon have done the bits that are on Ronnie Amis' car, not sure if Xsport do the rears so might be worth checking out their website

the spolier's on the bay are the 2.0i Sierra sport/Ghia/gls and will need a bit of trimming to fit where the rear tail pillar sits

Ooh tbh in my eyes the 3 door looks kinda bland compared to the 500 and the 500 looks oh so gorgeous

 

Dont stick the lower spoiler on with sikaflex or tigerseal - i found out the hard way

fooker wouldnt come off and I had to let the gneuine 500 lower spoiler go with the shell

Xsport and creative carbon do the decent copies and should fit well.

I have a Xsport Rs500 upper fibreglass spoiler waiting to go on when i get round to sorting all the bodywork out

go for it - make sure you get some pics up with the tip fitted as i havent seen any proper pics with them fitted.

I will stick with my 500 copy as once painted will look identical
