New wheel for Escort Cosworth & Focus (MkI & II)

9 x 18 ET20 available in gold, gunmetal, white and silver (and any other colour you may want if you pre-order) - £225 each - weight 10.7kg (2kg lighter per wheel than same size Comp Mos)
. Will clear upto 378mm discs (with the correct calipers (CP5555) offset bells and rose jointed track rod ends) - see above With the CP7040 calliper, the limit is 355mm discs:

The benefits of lighter wheels (see this month's Fast Ford).
1. Improved acceleration.
2. Improved braking with reduced stopping distance.
3. Greater fuel efficiency.
4. Lighter, sharper steering.
5. Allows for softer damper settings giving more tyre contact & therefore better grip.
6. Tyre temperatures are more stable and generally lower.
7. Improved wheel & tyre balancing.
8. Reduced rim weight has the effect of at least 5 times the static weight reduction.
Summary:
The performance gain achieved by reducing the wheel mass (Un-sprung Mass) can be quantified using a factor of six. This means that to achieve the same performance gain by reducing the body mass, it is necessary to remove six times the wheel weight saving.
Example:
A saving of 2Kg Per Wheel x 4 Wheels = Removing 48 Kg from the Bodywork.

I have a couple sets of the same wheels, once set in Antracite like your pics, and one in your infamous gold
colour.
I put them on my brother's Evo a couple months back, here's some pics:

Same 18*9 as yours, the anthracite set had 235/40/18 wide D01J Dunlops on it, the Gold wheels have 265/35/18 R888s. IMHO they look best with 245 or 255 width tyres, can you lever those onto an Escort ok?
Congrats on getting this fitment sorted, there's a lot of cool Jap style wheels that would look as good as the default MOs

Similar Dave - weren't yours Ultralites?
These wheels are Rota Force Drifts, replicas of Advan RS wheels that are something daft like £2500 a set
Makes £220 a corner from Mike a bargain IMHO for something different / original in the Ford world.

Exactly - chosen because they are different to the norm and look REALLY good in the flesh - especially gold on white
Not to everyone's taste (as you would expect), but at least they aren't the "same old, same old"

those wheels look good on the escos but if i had them it would just look like every other EVO, subaru and skyline i see all too often every day here in OZ, however i have not seen many cars here with Comp MO,s.
ossie, is that your Escos in your sig? what size etc are the MO's on it? Look more dished than most ive seen before
Fair comment - you have the opposite problem to the quantity of a particular wheel design being seen on the cars
.
Mike.... If those wheels will take 378mm discs with 5555 calipers then you will get bigger than 355 disc with a 7040 caliper inside there!! (don't know whoose kits you're using!). You also mentioned that the 'correct' caliper for a 378mm disc is a 5555, why?

I don't know what kit Jan tried his wheel over (you'll have to ask him), but it was VERY close with the 355 disc and 7040 calliper (ask him to send you the pictures, as it was his mate's car he tried the wheel on). Accordingly, I am just being cautious, as the CP7040 requires more room and didn't want people to buy the wheel and then find it didn't fit

Edit:
Here is a picture, this metal bar is 8mm, and it didnt clear, hence why I'm guessing its about 7mm.
