hi all heres a bit about me
i have been doing vw restoration for 10 years now and im geting out of it now and going to the dark side (fords) so im here for info and have a good look at the forum and see if i can get some tips i love doing restos and any info will help me

i love all 70's cars but i want to get back into the escorts that i had as my 1st car it was a 72 wich i tryed to do rs2000 kit and had no clue about it but now older and i no abit more about restos

 

if i no how to upload i will and do you want to see the fin jobs or part fin but the thing is i got 10 yars of pic's ?

hi, i'm currently doing a mk 2 rs 2000 and a 73 beetle 1303 so i'm doing both too,
but i hate beetles(its my dads he likes them),
i love old escorts so i think you made a good decision swapping sides lol
but you'll find the price of parts for old escorts is mega compared to old beetles,
you can buy just about anything for the beetles and get change out a tenner lol
seems like everyting for escorts is best part of a ton

thanks iv been doing vw 10 years and i think thay have had there day and the 70's r coming back and yes iv been looking at the prices and wow thay r much more and hard to find but when i started vw all the parts r s/hand but y not have a go

 

not into campervans but you've done a cracking job on them,if you put half the effort into the escorts it will look stunning.

ive always wanted a vw van but i dont think i have the dedication it takes to restor/own 1

 

thanks m8 the funny thing is iv never been into vw's i just love restoring old cars and vw's was a big thing at the time at the time you was geting 40k for a splitscreen camper so y not get into it but i think 70's cars r coming back
