my new cossie has a Toad Alarm, not certain which model it is but the remote looks like this one

which i beleive is a "Toad A101RK (Old) Case" from this site
http://www.tech-tronics.co.uk/produc...true&reqPage=2
how would i go about linking a new remote to the current alarm?
also do 2wd Saphs have a factory imobiliser? theres no red chip in the end of the key like most other fords. can i just have another key cut and a new toad remote?
ive only got one key and remote and need a spare really to leave in the house incase someone needs to move the car and im not around.
Thanks
Graham

this may sound stupid but remove your steering cowling and look around the ballel there may be a key taped to it to pick up the old imobiliser
and yes you can program the new fob very easy
ill get a pdf manual for ya one sec

No factory immobiliser ever fitted to 2wd sapphs.
The remote could be a number of different ones esp as you could simply change the case colour.
The mew one can be programmed easy by using your 4 digit code, eg if your number was 1/2/3/4 you turn the ignition on to position 2 then off after 1 flash of led, turn on again off after 2 flashes etc, this will put the alarm into "switch position mode"(SPM), then simply press button one, left hand button with ring attachment down most, turn ignition on and off job done, you can also use the SPM to delete the old keys alter the volume of the beep etc etc.
Look on the siren part under bonnet will have a number on it like C4, this would be easier to identify it from this.
If in doubt phone toad technical on 01257 249928, be warned it is VERY easy to cock up the alarm setting when in SPM, might be better to just call a toad dealer it's a 10 minute job, assuming you have the 4 digit code ?
