Default fiesta strange problem helpppp

cant work out whats wrong with my fiesta its a 97 1.3 duratec the old ohv engine with the efi unit when driving along it seems to lose power a little then when i take my foot off the gas and press it again its ok and driving at around 60 mph it seems like a sort of miss /jerking even when i take my foot off the accelarator it seems to still jerk some times it cuts out at junctions aswell tapets seem noist too any ideas anyone cheers

what would i need to do with that i found one in the car dont know if its been changed or if its been bought to be changed is there any way of checking it

Do your tappets anyway, if the rocker shaft is worn invert and spin 180 and you get a complete new unworn surface to start with so they don't need adjusting so much/often.
When was the fuel filter last changed ?

dont know when the fuel filter was changed how do i adjust tappets is it easy im preety good with cars but never done these, the cars only done 64000 miles so i think adjustment should be whats needed i hope

Tappets are easy, best thing you could do is buy a haynes manual, as would have everything in there you need.
There is a tool you can get called click adjust, to adjust these and other ohv finger lever tappets that take out the guess work, as these suffer badly from rocker shaft wear, the trick is to pull up the end of the rocker you are adjusting to take the slack(wear) out.
Makes a big difference, as does a alloy rocker cover, a lot quieter with these.
