how can i tell if its faulty on a fiat scudo 2008

 

banging nosie, when you press the clutch petal in it will go away, let it out an it will rattle/banging etc

 

Will osilate through clutch pedal also it will rattle on start up and shut down

If its the same as the Mondeo...when its idling it will sound like a big bag of spanners rattling about....LITERALLY!!!!

 

First of all is it 1.6 HDI or 2.0 HDI with 6 speed box?

 

2.0hdi six speed

 

Yea the DW10 engine is common for fly wheels to go.The engine will be out of balance or a clatter coming from the bell housing as you rev the engine from idle.If you need a fly wheel make sure you buy it as a set, fly wheel,clutch,pressure plate cause they have modified the pressure plate.Its around 900 Nm stronger.If you fit the old pressure plate it will slip. Unfortunately I learned the hard way and bough a clutch and plate from a auto factors and a genuine fly wheel.
