I removed original parcel shelf and put in loft, then made an mdf shelf and covered in acoustic cloth, fitted a set of 6x9s underneath so all hidden.
Then bought a spare set of front doorcards and made up some rings the size of a set of 10" speakers and covered in acoustic cloth.
All speakers are powered by 2 powerful amps, gives a really good sound.
All blends in as I have black leather in mine.
But can return to standard whenever I want.
Hope that helps

not familar with sierra speaker locations, but if they are in the door cards and rear trims which are made of recycled paper, then get in there with some fibre glass resin to beef everything up

be suprised how much extra bass and clarity you will get

what alpine speakers have you got, and whats powering them as well?

the speakers are in the bottom of the dash and at the sides of the parcel shelf and are only 4inch coaxial all round.all powered by an up to date kenwood 50 x 4 cd unit.might just try and buy a parcel shelf and fit some better speakers as said above

ah, that would explain the naff sound then

dont usually get much from 4inchers. made some homemade door podss for my mk2 granada and have 13cm components. made a world of difference having them mounted in the pods compared to being in just the standard door card location

depending on the size of speakers you get on the parcel shelve will decide if yo uneed to amp them or not though. if they are only 13cm (17 at a push) then the headunit should be alright for powering them up

also worth going through the headunit setup options and having a tweak too, even just to turn loudness OFF

i bought an mdf shelf ready made and put some 6x9s (made a BIG difference) in there and DLS component speakers in the dash all amped up and sounded great, helped along with 2x12s in the boot.

only had it in there for 2 weeks as didnt want the car to start rattling inside and orcourse i wanted to listen to the engine anyway, especially on full boost.

I cant quite remember know but was a professionally made shelf and i think i paid around 80 quid for it. Gave a nice mid bass which you dont get with the speakers in the standard locations.

Unfortunately I sold the shelf when i stripped the car for parts.

Try ebay or here:
http://www.dvbcaraudio.co.uk/-c-94_101.html

cant see a sierra item listed but prob best to give them a ring.

this one looks good:
http://www.audioinmotion.co.uk/store...w.asp?item=318

Have a search on google mate as most competent car audio places will be able to do these, or alternatively speak to BassBoy on here as he is very good and has an awesome build thread on a Nissan Previa
