Hi folks!

i have owned a 92 Scorpio Mk1 for about a year and a half now, bought it with 170kkm now it's a bit over 200kkm on it. ever since i got it it had a tendency to understeer, actually it's very bad once it get's a bit wet. I know that my suspension would need to be replaced (struts, shocks, springs maybe) and i'm sure some of the bushings as well. But i was wondering if i could fit a thicker front sway bar at the same time? If i measured right the one i have now is 28mm.
Any recommendations? It might get a lot better after changing the bushings, but what if not? then i got new 28mm bushings for the ditch..

I don't think there is a thicker sway bar for these, I'd just replace the bushes and suspension as this should give a massive improvement on it's own, and see where you go from there.

just got some new bushings today, the ones for swaybar-to-frame and swaybar-to-a-arm. hopefully that will cure some of the problem

just in case someone is looking for part numbers or torque specifications:
swaybar-to-frame bushing (70-90 Nm): 1630507

swaybar-to-a-arm bushing:
outer disc 1656752
inner retainer disc 6172539
inner pressure disc 6172540
nut (nylon-secured) 6523434 (tighten to 70 to 110 Nm)


I'll post again after installing them and a rainy test drive
