It's LOUD! It has also developed a noise (only during hard acceleration in 2nd and 3rd) which we are trying to trace (either the transfer chain is jumping, the exhaust is vibrating on the side of the casing, or it has chipped a tooth on 2nd and 3rd). As soon as we have eliminated the obvious, I will confirm. Drives sweetly though (and the owner is known to be an animal ).

i have the second version in my escort and this is not extremly loud, but my friend drive with the first version and we note the difference right away..

in my opinion this kit is a great product for this price ... i checked with my own eyes this kit on a escort with almost 630hp on run from 0-200m...and still drive with this kit now...

for me quality price i vote 10/10.

Would be good if they did ready built boxes on a exchange to avoid downtime while the box is out the car.

this is the reason my father in law keeps holding back on getting one. He would rather a bolt in and go.

Just for people's information, the noise was indeed the transfer chain jumping and this has now been fixed. The gearbox is very good (other than it is loud) . Obviously 375bhp isn't going to trouble it though LOL.

Mark Shead fitted one in Cyril's mallard escos, holding up so far so good,
my 1st impression was kin hell that's loud on tick over want one for my car as its still the best value for money imo as far as 4x4 gear kits go all of the alternatives are considerably more money to buy

Plus Romain's an Italian and I have to keep it in the family

My father in law is going through buying a kit at the moment.
either getting oppliger to recon his box or buying the kit and getting gearbox man to build up.

Group buy been mentioned any more?? Ł1500 sounds good to me.

you need a dogbox to change without a clutch . the one we are talking about is just a big tooth kit .

That spacer on the picture, where does that go? I have seen a picture on ebay with a black gearbox with a thick alloy spacer in the middle, but i can't understand how you can fit it without making other mods?
