Hi all was wondering what is needed to make my Cosworth up to 300 bhp it's STD apart from a grp a k&n and a 3 inch exhaust Amy help would be great

 

a stage one chip\an actuator to give you about 15-16psi that should give you 270-300bhp its a diy job mate

 

Hi normally just fitting a chip gives you about 270bhp but if you go for 803 green injectors and uprated actuator should give over 300 you can then add rs500 intercooler plus turbo for more power cheers.

 

3 bar map sensor?

 

Has studabear says if going for much more power you will have to fit a 3 bar map sensor but you have to start thinking about uprating the breather system.

 

As said circa 280BHP is stage 1 and just requires remapped chip and a uprated actuator, to get 300+ your looking at stage 2 so that means the above plus a 3 BAR MAP sensor and uprated injectors, I.E Siemens 55LB or Bosch 803's (Dark Greens) and uprated breather is a good idea.

However due to the cost difference people normally jump the gap from stage 1 and go straight to stage 3.

A decent stage 1 is a monumentally different car to the std car, esp in the torque department, can give better mpg as well, I would use a GGR stage 1 if I were you, I used a westfield version myself, it was stunning, or there is always Karl's gunship chip, a mix of stage 1 and 3 that works extremely well, Karl from NMS, Norris Motor Sport.
As said defo want to think about a better breather, these can be made diy for around £10.
