Default Hubs?

Anyone know whether all the Sierra hubs are the same or if they differ dimensionally?.
I basically need the hub and stub axles from a MK2 Sierra for a new kitcar project and would like to use the 283mm 2wd Cosworth Discs. I've seen some new complete Ford Uprights that I can remove the bits I need from and would much prefer to use new rather then reconditioned parts.
So my question is am I likely to run into any problems with the discs offsets etc? I will most likely use Alcon H-type (blank lug) calipers and I believe all the hubs have the same bolt pattern etc so I can't for see there being a problem, what about anyone else?

The 4x4 hubs take a thicker shock absorber, and the Cosworth ones have deeper lugs for the caliper to mount to and take the larger-diameter discs. Spacers can be used on "ordinary" Sierra hubs though.

Someone more knowledgeable than me will have all the details though.

I think you are getting confused. You are talking about the uprights but it's only the hubs that are of concern as the uprights will be discarded.

The uprights plug into the hub carriers, and come in different diameters.

Or are you talking about only the hubs, and fitting them into your own hub carriers?

Now I'm really confused...

stiler you been looking at the complete hub carriers and hub assemblies new from rally design? as far as i know they are non-cosworth units.

remember if your using it in a double wishbone set up then the mushroom insert will usually be sized for standard sierra hub carriers.

if its a standard sierra hub carrier then the brakes that can be fitted will be whatever a normal sierra can take unless you use adaptors etc.

im sure someone will know the difference between the hub carriers and say what brakes can be used on what.
