IEC Mourne Run, NI, 29 August
Thought I'd throw this up here in case anyone was interested
We have nice wee route planned starting and finishing in Newry and taking in a lunch stop in Newcastle. We hope to get quite a few non-members along and hopefully get them involved and with the East Coast run the next month maybe persuade a few to travel down.
I guess all we want to know now is if anyone is interested in joining us and if so stick your name down.
Dated decided on 29th August which is a Sunday - we need to be definite as the Parades Commission must be notified!
proposed route:

dont know why the road breaks here at all!!
http://maps.google.co.uk/maps?f=d&source=s...47&ie=UTF8&z=12
Starting @ McDonalds / B&Q @ 11:30 leave at 12:00
We would have a break in Rathfriland for the best ice cream in Ireland
Lunch in Newcastle http://www.mourneseafood.com/page/16/mourne-cafe/
On the way back stop at Spelga to let the kids (big and small) try the magnetic hill!
Back to Newry to finish
length of route @ 65miles @ 2 1/2 hours plus an 1 1/2 for stops and lunch will have us back in Newry 4 or 4:30.
might be a little short but we can easily add a little more into it
1st time trying to organise something like this so any feedback (good or bad) would be much appreciated
