Right this car has come in at work and im umming and arring about would it be worth me buying,

Basically it a Ford Escort on a old Y reg (27 years old?)
1.6 ghia (quietest cvh i have ever heard!)
5 door
1 0wner from new
78k with full history
12 months mot

This car is unbeleivable, its like going back in time, no rust, no car park dents, and the interior looks like its never been sat in either the carpets or seats or dash or doorcards have a single mark or wear on them. the seats look like they have never been sat in!

it owes my boss £300
I will not be keeping the car but wanted to know would it be worth buying to try and make any sort of profit on? (ie collectors etc?)

i would buy it off him for 350 (tell he is making a quick drink out of it) and then you take the car to national day and double or treble the price

a lad my mate nows bought a mk1 fiesta for 500 quid off some old dear whose house he was working on it had been her husbands who died years earlier and had only done about 15k and was like new even spare was brand new and what did the twat do use it as a daily car he has apparently had it resprayed now as well and he thinks it still worth alot.

he was allegedly offered 3k after he bought it but now he has ruined it

 

my mates dad as just bought a f reg escort 1.3 with 15000 miles on the clock its like brand new not a mark on paid £1800 for it

eBay that mate,it's got to be a minimum of double your money(guessing your boss wants a one'er profit) so I'd say £800 at least.

 

Get it bought mate. There's no way you will loose on that. Ok so it's not an RS but you could take it up to the RS National day at the end of September and if it's as good as you say some Ford nut will take it off you for a healthy price.

i would say between 750 and 1k.i sometimes watch them on ebay and they dont seem to sell on there.i have had a few and if i had the spare notes i would buy 1 straight away.my last 1 was an auto we nicknamed funky pete,even got his own sticker on the back!

Going to rip it too bits today, (ie carpets out) then make a decision

 

Get it bought mate your going to get a good profit on that, try to get some pics up of it too.

A lad at my work has just taken a J reg Peugeot 205 GLD 5Dr in as a part ex, its done 29000 from new, interior is spotless but exterior needs a really good buff up and has a full tank of diesel too, I am considering buying it and selling it on for a quick buck.

cool, theres a 4 door mk4 on gumtree with 20 odd k for nearly 2 grand, daft that is, bein 4 door its never big money area but still a cool runner

 

well i stuck this on ebay for £500 cant see it being worth to much more then that let alone 2k lol
