did he kick the tyres? if he didn't, then he probably isnt a tyrekicker.

In all seriousness thou he may have wanted to look at the other option and might come back for another look / testdrive.

When i'm looking for a new car (espeially specialist cars like rs's), it's not that often you'll buy the first one you look at.....nature of it is to see a few and compare them, so it's bollocks for everyoe to just say 'yeah definately a time waster'!
Not long bought a focus rs actually, drove over 2 hours to look at it (so obviously not a waster), drove it and loooked round it etc and told the guy i'd let him know after i'd thought about it and looked at another i had lined up......then phoned him back a couple of days later to agree a price and bought it as i realised how good it was and didn't think i'd get a better example for the money
If yours is a good one and not overpriced he may well be back

Could be genuine or could be moody, as with all of these cars, don't arrange a viewing where the car lives

that is a great bit of advice, i fell for that one years ago with my RS turbo, 2am the morning it was spose to be viewed by a guy that phoned the day before, it was attemped to be nicked, thankfully the alarm saved it, but wont ever fall into that trap again.
