Default Reg Plate Help

Now i know this may of been asked but wanted a quick reply

Most sierra saph's or 3 doors ect ect seem to have a nice thing going on with smaller plates on the front and some on rear now what im after knowing is i have just bought a black/silver pair of plates rear is correct size front is a little smaller but not much

I know there not legle but wanted to know where i stand if i get stopped with them on car as i will be the unlucky one who will

Is this a thing ill get a slap on wrist or is there fines and points involved ??

Normally just a Ł30 fine.

It's actually a Ł60 fine now.

If you persistantly do it and it is a personalised registration plate you can have it taken off you. You can also be fined up to Ł1,000.

i owuldnt bother with black and silver you will be tugged everytime you are out in them, and like above, persistant offences mean points!

a slightly chopped down stanard plate looks quite smart though, i had one on all 3 of my RS's and never got pulled. thinking of one for the FRS but the recess is made for a standard plate so it may look odd!

they will take the plates off the car - at least they did with mine and i had to go collect them later from the cop shop

well i have taken the front off but have left the rear as it looks really nice with the dark saph lights and the car is silver so goes really well see what happens i guess, I do have std one in the car so may be able to blag it up

I had a stupidly tiny plate on my old car and it was there for 18 months without any trouble, yet a friend of mine put some on his car and he got pulled the very same day. I have been pulled a couple of times back in the day for plates with italic font, just got a slap on the wrist both times though!

Got a trimmed down standard plate on my car at the mo, not had any bother yet!
