Group buy on Hart Plenums...who's interested? *NOW WITH LINK TO GROUP BUY*
So I've been chatting to a Trader on here, and we've come up with a good deal on the Hart Plenums
Who would be interested, we need 10 people
This plenum cover has been used to great effect on Rod Tarry's huge power Saff, and on Ade's too.
Mine would be going on my new engine, expected to make 480hp 480ft/lb and wouldn't be classed as overkill

There will be a thread going up in the traders section this evening.
But basically, we'll be needing: Ł50 deposits, once everyones paid the deposit we can put the order in for 10.
Turn around from the order going in, and the parts beign ready will also be good

the power Rod has then you can probably see why it made a difference but will the difference be noticeble on lower spec, powered engines etc....maybe not.

Basically it will improve any engine 450+
don't forget it's not all about peak figures.
These plenums will improve the running of any engine and also have better distribution across all 4cylinders.

i know the guy that used too/ gets these made up i had the booklet that showed some comparisons and improvements on 3 different dyno,s with different spec engines aswell.
not sure if i still have it but the one thing i recall was a big gain in terms of the egt being alot more even on each cylinder .
You could see from the figures how 1 and 4 cylinder suffers with the standard inlet.
I,ve just found the paperwork here,s a quick example they have printed if anyone is interested. 1 engine/guide obviously with results
500 hp engine (no spec) 500 inlet and TB difference
rpm psi cyl temps 1 2 3 4 av.mean temp c 1 2 3 4
4.5k 32 648 665 687 628 657 -9 +8 +30 -29
5k 30 614 630 641 590 619 -4 +11 +22 -29
5.5k 30 634 666 676 619 649 -15 +17 +27 -30
6k 30 620 634 651 604 627 -7 +7 +24 -23
sod writing the hart results down lolpmsl , but the 4 mean ex temp figures for the hart are, 596,651,681,683 respective of rpm. The cyl mean difference is as follows
1 2 3 4
+16 -18 +2 0
+11 -13 +7 -4
+3 -8 +9 -3
+2 -8 +2 +5 You can see cyl 1 and 4 are down the majority of the time , this plenum evens things out very well (easy to see in booklet)
As you can tell i have some spare time + being quite bored haha sorry 4 that but hope it helps a little even though its a bit sketchy on the diagram i made
Mike balls its come out horrid. scan through it, u maybe able to make it out. sorry guys my fault, was only trying to help .
Basically, buy one if your after realible big power with even inlet intake system

I heard that the castings are poor and very heavy requiring some finishing to be done to make them work well.
This was only what I heard somewhere but I don't know if the rough bits are sorted before Danny supplies them ? obviously the weight cannot be sorted.
Just worth knowing the facts before people buy them assuming they are perfect to use out of the box.

Sorry Danny I was knocking the product, just had heard the rough casting, I appreciate its cast so unless its finished off its not going to be perfect.
Can't knock the price, even a proper Swedish is similar money and I'm told these are far better.

i run one of these on mine and made a decent differance on joe's engine dyno over both a standard 4x4 item and my old swedish type inlet, they are a bit heavier but i braced it with a rod with 2 rose joints to the engine mount via a mount lug on the bottom of the hart inlet.decent bits of kit these fellas imo
got mine direct from joe at bluesprint a while back as i heard nothing but good things about these so its going to be used on my new engine when its built,
rough pics but here is mine when it was being dummy fitted while building the car

Hi
Have been asked to comment on the Hart Plenum.
It made 47bhp more Power on the Dyno than my 500 Plenum. Both used a 14mm Spacer & no other mods were done. I use it with a WRC 8 injector manifold & the pair cost Ł850 & has seen over 800bhp
.
The casting was rough inside & Mark sent it to his head guy to be sorted.
Cant comment on gains at Lower Power levels but it certainly worked on mine. At Ł450 it seems a no brainer dont think anything else comes close for that money.

to be honest it looks well made not only that i saw one of these on Dave's (DP)car about 2yrs ago and asked him what it was like, he said it was very good
for my spec engine dont think it's really needed as i use the small turbo escort with 14mm spacer good enough
i suppose on a engine over 500bhp it's well worth it
marco

Also no need for a spacer at all unless you want more than 700 hp+
Any one wanting one will have to reply via pm or phone call or on the traders for sale section..
cheers danny
