great day, better laid out and busier than last year.


BUT the organisation for entry was absolutely shocking to say the least. Left mine in the midlands at 0700 and got there at 0820.

From initially getting there it was almost 10am before i got the cars on the stand and set up etc....the split "y" entry system was a complete joke.

We was in the left hand side of the "y" system and we was being diverted from 2 lanes into 1 around the back of a building then back into 2 lanes to then turn right and then join the right hand side of the "y" system just by the bridge.....really needs a major re-think.

Never in 6 years experienced such a shambles of entry...........

I got to the "runway" (the 3 lane bit) going into Silverstone at about 7.50am and was on stand in about 15 minutes....

in all the years i have been going to ford fair i have never seen ques like today

 

wait till you try to get into trax

a few years ago there were 3 hours queues to get in to the place

biggest gripe of the day was the signage to the track, some twat had decided to put the sings "to" the track towards the pit lane entry to come "back in" from your session, so 10 minutes driving about with none of the gomtards standing about knowing anything other than how to stand there and wear glow in the dark tops

typical example was the bloke who said "i don't know, i've just been told to stand here"

you'd have thought, with SO many peole turning up they would have picked some cleverer yokels to stand about, if you don't know, at least say "sorry fella, can't help"

the only guy who said he'd look into it was the guy who was in the actual slip road to get onto the track

 

last year there were still people trying to get into trax at lunch time. i left home at 6.30(sheffield) got to the back of the que on the dual carriageway at 8.00. even going the back way through the villages i missed my 10.20 track session. got parked up at 10.30

 

I left at about 5.30pm and drove straight out (under the tunnel) and straight out onto the main road....

 

i left at 1.45 and tootled down the road at 50 mph as i was knackered

much better fuel economy though

 

Landed down to gate 5 at 9 this morning, bought tickets from the goon at da gate. I asked where do I walk from here as we where on the outside of the pit staight, goon said yea mate walk round, took half an hour to walk all the way around to the infleid
didn't fuckin tell us there was a tunnel 50 meters away

 

I was sent twice in total opposite way from my clubstand this morning by some gimptard in a yellow jacket...

 

Oh yea and what really boiled my piss was the drift demo. Me and my mate were really lookin forward to it, said in the book they where on the gp track, asked a fucktard jacket wearing ape where would the best place to watch it. He sent us to the far end of the track to a grandstand, there was over 100 people there waiting to watch it, by the time we realised it was at the back of the pit staight it was over !!!

 

It took me around 35mins to park in the public parks going past the shut entrances to the parks then being shown the way by the goons to drive thru 3 empty car parks to park why dont they just open the entrances fill the space then move to fill the next park instead had to drive to the last roundabout that needs sorting right out ........apart from that super day so many club stands had trouble getting round the whole show and the trade area ,this has to be the biggest ford fair ever ...

 

Oh yea and the fucking prick driving the blue tansit flat bed, who left ff with at least 15 people sitting on the back who was too busy (trying not to kill anyone on the back while he was on public roads) to look before he swearved across two lanes. Missed poughing straight into the side of mates rx8 by inchs becaused my mate was quick to floor it

I got fed up and drove down the pedestrian tunnel to the T section

 

left my house at 5 got to silverstone at 6.45 no ques that time of the morning lol
