the standard t3 turbo on my rst has quite a bit of play up and down, i have been told very slight play is normal but this is excessive and its lettin oil through, im looking for a new or re-con one where is the best and cheapest place to get one?

 

A few good places such as CR turbos, I use the turbocentre myself 01924 404112, ask for andy or craig.

Depending on how handy you or a friend is with the spanners and how bad the turbo is (ie if it just needs seals and bearings, as it sounds like) you could re-build it yourself with a kit from eBay for around 50 quid. Done it myself with good results, videos on youtube with step by step guides.

 

alright then thanks alot both of you... ive seen the kits but havent looked into it too much. my current one is a re-con anyway so could probably benefit from a new.
