I am trying to find who built the zetec turbo in my car as the last owner only had a month and doesnt have a clue about it. He also bodged a few bits in his month of owner ship.
It is now burning oil bad, i've just spent alot of money on a new stage 3 turbo so it's not that. The head was poorly fitted so first is to get that skimmed and new stem seals etc. The main concern is the pistons as i was lead to believe they are skimmed calibra turbo items which they arent as they are flat on top and would be unreliable. Ian howell at area six seems to think they are standard ones. The car made 258.6 bhp on the rollers this year and has done 3k on the engine.
If anyone knows the car or can put me in touch with the previous owner to establish whats been done that would be great.
