Afternoon all, As some of you may be aware im building a caterham replica type thing with a cosworth YB in, im trying to tackle the cooling at the moment and im just after a bit of info of you experts! My question is on the back of the radiator what inlets/outlets do I need?(I need to get a one off rad made up) looking at pics on ebay there are 3 fittings.I would be very greatful for sizes of inlets and out lets and obviosly one is top rad hose one bottom but what is the other? and where do I get the feed from the bottom hose and where does it go after the top hose? dave heres a pic of my rad,i can measure the inlet and outlet tommorrow if you like,im sure the top hose goes to the thermostat housing and the bottom one goes to the water pump,the hole on the bottom left is for the fan switch,im sure ill be corrected if im wrong.

 

standard rads have what looks to be a 3rd (smaller) outlet on them,
but its blanked off and doesn't go anywhere
the aftermarket rads (like the 1 above) usualy dont have the blanked pipe on them

the hose that goes to the bottom of expansion tank comes from either bottom rad hose on the 2wd cars or waterpump on the 4x4 cars
