cut it out fit a flat section from a daewoo which has the same type metal which matches the boot section will need welding and painting anyway so get rid of it. Spare wheel will fit in the boot if you dont have a massive boot install.

Don't think i would ever buy an rst with no wheel well, to me it would just say it had been messed around with.

Mine was rotten. I decided to cut it out and weld a new panel in there. I had a lazer cut disc made for 15 quid.

Not much strength in a flat section of metal, it looks good tho.

Thats the reason i said about the daewoo boot, it has the ribs in the metal which add to strength if on the off chance you had a rear end.

As for looks and buying an RS with no boot floor i think thats down to the individual. If its been done right then great.

Have a look at Jays thread on my site where he has removed the wheel well.
http://oddkiddcreations.co.uk/viewto...t=jay&start=75

Also Jamies car which will be next months cover car for Fast Ford.
He has added a cross bar to help with strength.

I know what you mean Jano, guess its just a preference thing, don't understand why you would remove a wheel well unless it was rotten, i would just be thinking what else was rotten and replaced. Just me.

Mines going as a 17" spare doesnt fit in it, a steel would look shit and I want car light as possible. Its a 20 year old car, its getting a carbon roof and roll cage so the deleted wheel well isnt going to be an eye brow raiser. Can see your point on a 'regular' car but I dont ever imagine selling mine (had it 10yrs already) and if I do I cant see it been a -ve.

Reckon the daweoo section would look ok in a square hole rather than just the circle of the wheel well. The mismatch seems very noticable in the pics above. Gonna take a trip to scrapyard and insepct all the ford estate rear floors and see if anything looks similar to the mk4 boot 'ribs'.
