hi,i have a 1989 s2 with a knock sensor.my spec is piper 285t2 cam, front mount cooler,-31 actuator, magnex pipe, standard airbox with panel filter.i want a chip thats got mid range power and not all at the top of the revs.what does everybody recommend and how much?also does the fuel ecu need modified to match the boost chip?ta,lee
Personally i think you cant go wrong wrong with an ahmed bayjoo chip m8 had them in the past and would recommend them, currently running a turbosystems chip which is also good
Ahmed chip is the best as he can calibrate the Ign table correctly, You would need to ask Tony if his is the same or is he able to adjust it correctly,
All the other RS turbo chips just have the boost limit removed and are junk.

my old spec was similar to the 1 i have now,it was a second hand ahmed 200 bhp chip (i was told),it made 164bhp atw on avas rollers.wont use them again btw.i felt that that chip made the power up the revs.the turbo was a stage 2 t3 from the same guy i got the chip from,i just felt it was rather laggy.what price do you pay for ahmed chips?i emailed grove garage last night but i still havent had a reply.
also anybody shed any light on whether the fuel ecu needs modified?ta,lee
